Dr. Deepa Warpudkar‑Rajenimbalkar Awarded PhD at Homoeopathy University Convocation in Jaipur

Jaipur, July 21, 2026 — The grandeur of the Homoeopathy University Convocation Ceremony at BM Birla Auditorium, Jaipur, was marked not only by the presence of distinguished dignitaries but also by the academic triumphs of scholars who have dedicated years to advancing the science of homoeopathy. Among them, Dr. Deepa Warpudkar-Rajenimbalkar stood out as she was conferred with her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Homoeopathy, a milestone that crowns her multifaceted career as a researcher, educator, and author.

The convocation was graced by Haribhau Bagde, Governor of Rajasthan, as Chief Guest, and Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav, Union Minister of State for AYUSH, as Guest of Honour. Both leaders emphasized India’s rich medical heritage, the global relevance of homoeopathy, and the urgent need for research-driven approaches in healthcare. Their presence underscored the national importance of the event, which awarded degrees to 75 PhD scholars, 120 MD (Hom.) graduates, and 523 BHMS graduates.

Adding to the academic prestige of the ceremony, eminent personalities including

Dr. Tarkeshwar Jain (Chairperson, National Commission for Homoeopathy),

Dr. Shishir Mathur (Vice-Chancellor, Homoeopathy University), and Dr. Sonia Tuteja (Registrar, Homoeopathy University) also attended the function, lending their support and encouragement to the graduating scholars.

A Thesis of Global Relevance

Dr. Deepa’s doctoral thesis, “Exploring the Action of Tuberculinum Bovinum in Autism: A Randomized Controlled Trial”, represents a pioneering effort to investigate the therapeutic potential of homoeopathic remedies in neurodevelopmental disorders. Autism, a condition that challenges families and healthcare systems worldwide, has often been viewed through the lens of conventional medicine. Dr. Deepa’s work brings a fresh perspective, combining rigorous methodology with the holistic principles of homoeopathy.

Her randomized controlled trial not only adds to the evidence base but also opens new avenues for integrative approaches in pediatric care. By focusing on Tuberculinum Bovinum, a deep-acting remedy traditionally associated with chronic conditions, she has illuminated its possible role in behavioral and developmental contexts.

A Multidisciplinary Author

Beyond her doctoral achievement, Dr. Deepa has established herself as a multidisciplinary author whose works bridge tradition and modernity. Her book “Panchkosha – Homoeopathy is Divine Science” explores the spiritual and philosophical dimensions of healing, drawing upon the ancient Indian concept of the five sheaths (panchkosha) that envelop human existence. By situating homoeopathy within this holistic framework, she underscores its role as a divine science that harmonizes body, mind, and spirit.

Equally remarkable is her contribution to the technological domain through “Medical Electronics with IIoT”. In this work, she integrates healthcare with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), highlighting how modern electronics and digital connectivity can revolutionize medical practice. This dual authorship — one rooted in spiritual philosophy and the other in cutting-edge technology — reflects her rare ability to traverse disciplines and create meaningful intersections between them.

Voices of Inspiration

In his address, Governor Haribhau Bagde reminded graduates of India’s ancient medical traditions and urged them to uphold honesty and ethics in practice. He emphasized that remedies derived from plants, minerals, and natural extracts form the backbone of systems like Ayurveda and homoeopathy, which must be preserved and advanced through research.

Union AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav echoed these sentiments, noting that homoeopathy is among the most widely accepted systems globally. He called upon young practitioners to prioritize innovation and evidence-based practice, envisioning a “Healthy India, Strong India” built upon holistic healthcare.

The presence of Dr. Tarkeshwar Jain, Dr. Shishir Mathur, and Dr. Sonia Tuteja further reinforced the academic and institutional strength of the convocation, as they encouraged graduates to embrace both tradition and innovation in their professional journeys.

A Ceremony of Significance

The 2026 convocation was particularly symbolic as it marked the first such ceremony after the COVID-19 pandemic, a period that reshaped healthcare priorities worldwide. The event also honored the legacy of Dr. Girendra Pal, regarded as the father of homoeopathy education in Rajasthan. With Jaipur’s Homoeopathy University being the world’s only institution exclusively dedicated to homoeopathy, the ceremony reaffirmed India’s leadership in this field.

Dr. Deepa’s Journey Forward

For Dr. Deepa Warpudkar-Rajenimbalkar, the PhD award is not merely a personal achievement but a testament to her vision of integrating clinical research, holistic philosophy, and technological innovation. As an academic coach, mentor, and published author, she continues to inspire postgraduate students and fellow researchers. Her work exemplifies the evolving identity of homoeopathy — a discipline that honors tradition while embracing modern science.

Her journey reflects the spirit of the convocation itself: a celebration of knowledge, ethics, and innovation. With her PhD, her books, and her ongoing mentorship, Dr. Deepa stands poised to contribute significantly to both the academic and practical landscapes of healthcare.
